Hi Ralfyp,

Like all festivals I been to, they all have their problems. Brewfest has a bit more due to the geographical location of the event itself. You can contact them at nysbrewfest@yahoo.com to let them know your feelings about it. Hopefully, from the feedback, they will work it out.

I was extremely upset. It was a long walk from the ferry to the entrance. Fine.
The staff was somewhat helpful with getting us to the entrance. Fine.
But this was an event with a capped number of ticket sales. I was FLORED to see how many people were in there. If I had any idea that it would’ve been half as many people I never would have gone. I had a few beers for the hours I was there, so this was not only a waste of money, but just fustrating to expect an exciting event only to find a field with a ton of people. It felt like a bad keg party. If they did the math of ticket sales to vendors, how could they not expect lines 60 people deep. It was just a bait and switch of other events having decent press and then this fiasco where it was not just unprepared, but they showed a total lack of caring if we would enjoy it or not. Never again, and I am seriously looking to other sites to post the same remarks. Just a total rip-off. I wish I went to some beer garden with my friends and spent the money there. If anyone is looking for feedback to see if they should go next time, then stay away. Make you own pub crawl – at least you’ll actually have a few drinks.
