Thank YOU for your interest in the Rosendale International Pickle Festival. It all started in 1998, when we put together the First Picklefest in 60 days after our friend, Eri Yamaguchi, said she wanted to have a “pickle party”. We didn’t have a clue – but we always could throw a pretty good party! We did it for people to have fun and introduce them to a whole new realm of Pickles, things Pickled, Pickling Spices – all things Pickled. With the support of the Rosendale Chamber of Commerce we have helped expand peoples culinary horizons along with exhibitions of International cultures and customs through the simple, but alluring PICKLE! In addition to sampling a multitude of Japanese Pickled fruits, vegetables, and fish, we were treated to demonstrations of the Tea Ceremony. [via website]
